This course will cover various STEM concepts.The students will be given different projects using the Problem Based Learning Model. Problem-Based Learning (PBL) is a student-centered pedagogy in which students learn about a subject through the experience of solving an open-ended problem with hands on experiments. It is focused on the student's reflection and reasoning to construct their own learning. There will be multiple hands-on group and individual projects throughout the year. This course will also have an element of time management, helping students to learn how to manage their time, setting goals, and how to prioritize those goals. Concepts covered: Understanding of STEM, Circuits, Batteries, Conductors and Insulators, Magnets and Electromagnetism, Rube Goldberg Analysis and Projects, Newton's Laws, Aerodynamics, Rocketry, Levers, Pulleys and Fulcrum, Engineering, and Problem Solving and Design. All curriculum and lab items are included in the cost of this course.
